• To return anime-related results, suggestions, or utility features requested by the user.
• To remember extension settings and improve the user experience across sessions.
• To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the extension.

How data is stored

• Most extension preferences and lightweight usage state may be stored locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage.
• If a feature sends a request to a hosted service or third-party API, only the information needed to fulfill that request should be transmitted.

What Anime Google does not do

• Anime Google does not sell personal data.
• Anime Google does not collect payment card information inside the extension.
• Anime Google does not use unrelated browsing history for advertising.
• Anime Google does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless clearly required for a user-requested feature.

Third parties

• Anime Google may rely on hosted infrastructure or third-party anime, search, or utility services to return requested results.
• Those services only receive the request data needed to respond to the feature the user chose to use.

Data retention

• Locally stored extension data remains in the user's browser until removed by the user or deleted when the extension is uninstalled.
• Any temporary server-side logs or request data should be retained only as long as needed for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
